What's happening at H2A
H2A cohort draws from across campus and beyond
Our new campus cohort of social entrepreneurs is tackling public and planetary health with ambitious ventures that draw from multiple disciplines. We have strong representation from Harvard College, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and Harvard Graduate School of Design. It also includes students earning advanced degrees in arts and sciences, business, education, government, law, and medicine. We invite you to learn more about our talented 2025 cohort!

Paradigm-shifting H2A venture idea earns Best Social Impact Startup

In other good news, an H2A team that aims to create a paradigm shift toward more connected, efficient, and unified healthcare was named the Best Social Impact StartUp by the University of Sydney following a live pitch competition. Congratulations to our own Mii! This bold venture aims to provide people with a healthcare passport by enabling doctors to access past and current medical information in Electronic Health Records (EHRs) while also providing individual patients with a consolidated view of their personal medical data. Mii also secured the top spot in the People’s Choice Category at the University of Sydney Innovation Awards.

H2A startup on gender-affirming care takes off
We are pleased to share a terrific profile of Ivan Hsiao, founder of Trans Health HQ, a venture that aims to change the healthcare system so transgender and gender diverse populations receive dignified, life-saving healthcare both related and unrelated to this identity, but always delivered in alignment with it. Trans Health HQ is incubated at Harvard Kennedy School’s Social Impact + Change Initiative where Ivan is a Cheng Fellow.

Festival of ideas by H2A Brazil a success in Foz do Iguaçu
In early November, H2A leadership traveled to southern Brazil for a week-long festival of ideas that was supercharged with venture ideas focused on making positive change at a local, regional, and global level. Community stakeholders from agriculture, business, government, and the healthcare industry posed targeted challenges that thousands of students set out to solve with startup ideas. Our 10-team cohort for H2A Brazil was elevated during the festival, where we heard pitches from more than 400 student teams.
A few images from the week-long festival of ideas; our H2A Brazil cohort teams are gathered in bottom shot.
